Classic Meets Feminine with Red Dress Boutique

style-by-Courtney-red-dress-boutique-classic-white-dressFor those who don’t know, I have a full time job where I work in an office all day. I’ve never really liked traditional “office wear” i.e. pant suits, blazers, etc. so sometimes I struggle with finding a balance between “professional” attire and my more feminine style. Don’t get me wrong, I wish I could rock a great suit but I’m just more comfortable in dresses. I have always loved the look of a crisp, white Oxford button down. In my opinion, there isn’t a more classic item to have in your closet. If you’re like me, you may struggle with how to style a great Oxford if you aren’t a fan of dress pants. Well, look no further. This Classic White Shirt Dress from Red Dress Boutique is the perfect amalgamation of classic meets feminine style. This dress features a full button down front with a classic collared neckline. It also features a perfect asymmetrical drop waist which ads a subtle hint of flirty femininity without subtracting from its professional edge. There is also this sleeveless high-low hem Oxford dress that I’m kind of obsessed with. If you love chambray, this perfect shirt dress is an essential Summer wardrobe staple. Keep reading to see a bunch more of my RDB favorites below!

Sizing & Fit

One thing I love about Red Dress Boutique is that they have a size chart on EVERY SINGLE ITEM. I have been a loyal RDB shopper for a couple years and the size chart has never steered me wrong. This dress runs a bit large (I’m wearing a size small) but is still a very comfortable fit. If you are smaller than a size 8, I would recommend getting the size small and pairing it with a belt for a more accentuated fit. The fabric is 97% cotton so it’s very lightweight and breathable. You can also roll up the sleeves to carry this look into the warm summer months.

Styling

I paired this dress with my favorite statement earrings from Bauble Bar, this darling cross body from Kate Spade and my Valentino City Sandals. Stay tuned next week for a full blog post on this bag and some of my other favorite Kate Spade styles!
