Cozy Cowlneck Sweater + Ann Taylor Sale

I hate to admit this but I used to dismiss Ann Taylor as one of those boring “matronly” stores. It wasn’t until this last year that I really started to notice how beautiful and classic their pieces are. Over the past few years, my style has evolved into more of what I would describe as “classic feminine”. I tend to gravitate towards items that will last through fashions ever-evolving trends. I do love the occasional unique item but I prefer pieces that will carry me into future seasons as style and tastes evolve. I appreciate that Ann Taylor produces elegant and classic pieces that are high-quality. I’ve ordered so many things from them this year and I have not been disappointed. Everything I’ve received has been top quality and some pieces I’d even argue felt luxurious. One of my favorite items is this Cowl Neck Sweater. I usually don’t like cowl necks because I like a more structured fit and cowl necks tend to be kind of floppy. This one is structured, perfect, and warm. I’m wearing the petite medium and, although I did still have to roll up the sleeves, I really like the fit. My denim is the petite curvy skinny jean. I think I am most self-conscious about my legs so I love that these are made for a more curvy figure while still offering a slimming fit.

Although Ann Taylor falls into a higher price point along with stores like J. Crew or Anthropologie, they seem to always have a great sale that’s at least 40% (sometimes 50%!) off regular price. Today you can get my entire outfit on sale for 40% off using code “SHOP40”! My holiday outfit from last week’s post is also newly marked down with an additional 50% off taken at checkout. Happy Shopping!
