Heart Eyes for this Heart Dress

This week has been an absolute whirlwind. My workload has increased at both my full-time job and my university classes (I’m working on a Master’s degree) so I’ve barely had time to breathe, let alone do extracurricular activities. My husband and I are going on our honeymoon in a few weeks so I am literally counting down the days. I’ve been reviewing our itinerary and selecting which outfits to pack for each day. This heart print a-line dress by Cece is probably my favorite dress in my closet right now. I got it a few weeks ago and it’s already on sale for $82 at Belk.

The a-line silhouette has never been very flattering on me so I paired this dress with a skinny black belt to give it some shape. I also think it would be super cute with a long black cardigan or  faux leather moto jacket for an edgier look. I linked the other heart-print items from the same line along with a dupe for my Louboutin pumps. (Scroll down to the bottom of the post for product links)

I also linked my new favorite red lip color from Chanel. I have struggled for years to find a flattering red lip product that is both long-wear and doesn’t flake or fade. This one is a bit of a splurge at $37 but I swear it lasted several hours even through drinking and eating. I have never liked matte balms or lipsticks so I was glad to find that this one isn’t super drying, even though it’s long wear. It has a creamy satin finish and can even be touched up with a clear gloss if you want some extra shine. I purchased the Loreal colorburst balm in a few new shades but I haven’t tried them yet. I’ve read great reviews so I’m hoping they will be a less expensive alternative to the Chanel lipstick. I’ll be sure to post an update once I’ve tried them. Let me know if anyone has a favorite lipstick they swear by. I’d love to find some new products to try!
