Can you believe there are only three days until Christmas?! I still have some last minute gifts to buy, not because I’m a procrastinator, but because I’ve been THAT busy. I work full time so I can’t get to the mall until 5 pm and it’s a nightmare by that time. Fortunately I’ve been able to order most of my gifts online but there are a few I have to pick up in person. Praying I make it through the last minute rush of holiday shoppers this weekend!
In other news, today’s outfit is one of my favorites. When I spotted this Maison Jules bow dress at Macy’s, it was love at first sight. It is almost exactly like the Ted Baker Finna Bow dress from last year. The only noticeable difference is the price point. I have the Ted Baker dress and it feels every bit as luxurious as it cost. I’ll admit I was skeptical of this Maison Jules dress. This is my first MJ purchase so I wasn’t sure what to expect. When it arrived, I was very pleasantly surprised. One of the online reviews said it ran very small so I ordered my normal size medium and size large just for good measure. The medium fit perfectly so I would say this dress runs true to size. The sleeves were too long on me so I had them hemmed and added an elastic cuff. It’s also lightweight so it can be worn in both cold and warmer seasons. It would make a great Valentine’s Day dress as well. I paired it with my hot pink Kate Spade Tweed Dorothy coat. The Dorothy coat is an old one from several seasons ago but every now and then it pops up online during sample sales. I scored mine back in November during the Hautelook/Nordstrom Rack Kate Spade sale. My gold glitter bow pumps are the Nina Ryella pumps from DSW. These were very painful the first time I wore them. The side of the shoe was literally cutting into my foot with every step I took. If you buy these, make sure you wear them around the house the first few times to break them in. I have linked my exact dress along with some similar coats and pumps below.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season!
