Winter Jewel Tones

I love to wear and style jewel tones because the colors are perfect for any season. I found this emerald dress at Modcloth a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love. The color is even more beautiful in person and could be worn any time of year. It is very comfortable, soft, and lightweight. The length is great for both petite and taller women. The only alterations I did were to the sleeves, as they were about an inch too long for me. I had my tailor shorten them to three-quarter length and add an elastic hem. This dress is also available in a pretty floral pattern. The emerald color is almost sold out so I’ve linked some other beautiful emerald dresses below.

I paired with this dress with my favorite pumps, the Annelise Suede Stone Block Heel from Ann Taylor. The heel is a comfortable 3.5 inches and the block heel gives extra support. I am a size 6 shoe but I sized down to a 5.5 in these. I think I could have even worn a size 5 if I wanted a tighter fit. This block heel also comes in a gorgeous ruby color that I’m kind of obsessed with. If the block heel isn’t your style, you can also get the black in a traditional stiletto heel. Friendly tip: these shoes are all $104 on the website but they are marked down to just $42 when you add to your cart! I’ll take one in every color, please!

  1. I LOVE jewel tones! They just look the best on my skin tone, and since I love wearing neutrals, it’s a way for me to wear color without feeling like I’m too bright and not myself lol 🙂

  2. Jewel tones are some of the prettiest colors in my opinion, and the green on this dress is gorgeous. I love the style of the dress, too. Would absolutely wear this.
