Happy Monday, friends! I don’t know about you all but I’m dragging this Monday morning. Here in north Alabama, we had some bad weather Saturday evening. The high winds blew a hole in our backyard fence and also tore about fifty shingles off our roof. Thankfully it was nothing we couldn’t fix but it took us pretty much all of Sunday afternoon to repair the damage. I have to give all the credit to my wonderful husband because he single-handedly repaired the roof while I mowed the grass…and subsequently got the lawnmower stuck in a corner. Needless to say it was an interesting weekend that left me feeling pretty exhausted. The good news is that I found one of my favorite dresses back in stock on Amazon. This dress by Eliza J has the prettiest navy ruffles and is a great option for modest work wear. Eliza J is one of my favorite dress designers because she has so many beautiful dresses that are great for any occasion. I loved this dress because navy is a classic color that can be worn in any season. The modest cut and silhouette make this a great work wear dress while the ruffle hem ads a touch of playfulness. We all know I love a good ruffle 🙂
Size & Fit
I always size up in Eliza J dresses. I initially ordered this dress in an 8 Petite but it was too tight and too short for me to comfortably wear to work. I exchanged for a size 10 Regular and it’s a perfect fit. It’s also available in plus size version here. I also love this sleevless version with the leather side panels. I’ve linked a few other similar navy ruffle dresses below!
For me, the ruffle details of this dress speaks for itself. I paired it neutral accessories for a classic and modest look. My gold monogram necklace is the 2″ Lauren Monogram from Shop Julia Marie. I’ve teamed up with Julia to offer a special discount just for my readers. You can use code “COURTNEYA” to get 20% off your order!
