Hi friends! Today’s feature is the Ruby Keyhole Dress, which is a lightweight fit-and-flare chiffon dress. Read on for details 🙂 Although it’s long sleeved, this dress is light and cool enough for summer. I’m only 5’0 so the sleeves are about 1 1/2 inches too long for me. I’d rather have a three-quarter length sleeve so I will probably get these hemmed off. Length-wise, this dress is perfect and falls right at my knees. I imagine the length would be appropriate for taller girls maybe up to 5’5 but would start to run into that miniskirt territory if you’re much taller than that. Another thing I absolutely love about this dress is the fit-and-flare silhouette. This silhouette is flattering on all body types because it gives shape to those who may not have much in the hip area but it’s also slimming for those of us who have wider hips. I initially got a size Medium, which technically did fit, but it was too snug for comfort. I went with a size Large and am much for comfortable in it. You can find my measurements below for reference. One thing to note about the fabric is that it’s so lightweight that it will wrinkle easily. I was so excited to try it on and photograph it that I didn’t take time to iron it first, which is apparent in the photos. Sorry guys! I did iron it afterwards and it did just fine on the polyester setting. If your iron doesn’t have fabric-specific settings then make sure to iron on low or cool.
I’ve linked some similar dresses below. I’ve also linked some dupes for my heels!
